Foundation for Authentic Food of India is a non-profit organization established with the intent to develop authentication processes for various Indian Foods being served locally & globally. The authentication processes includes providing requirements & protocols, approving assessment agencies and providing certification of compliance based on the assessment agency results.
Foods are prepared by following certain methodologies and principles. They varies in recipes which attract consumer from that specific stream based on their own liking & cultures. People trust the declarations given by processor or food serving facilities but there is no adequate authentication of the declaration. .
FAFI has evolved requirements to be adopted by food establishments, in order to help the food establishment to prove that the processes adopted are as per the specific standard requirements &/or protocol, have third party verification of the processes and have authentication of processes to empower the trust of consumer.
