Dr. Prabodh Halde, immediate Past President of Association of Food Scientists and Technologists of India CFTRI Mysore, and a renowned Food Technologist with a well-rounded, multi-disciplinary experience , he is also Convener of Regulatory & Legal Cell of SEA India.

He has represented India 5 times for Codex from year 2012 to 2019. His chosen area of expertise is Food Safety and Food Regulations. As recognition of his expertise, he was selected to be a part of PMO visit delegation to Tajikistan in the capacity of a food industry expert in June 2015.

He has also published 5 motivational books for students named ‘Prabodhika’, recently 5th edition of Prabodhika was blessed by HE Shri Ramnath Kovind, President of India. He is recipient of many awards at National and International level.

Prof. (Dr.) Uday S. Annapure (BOYSCAST Fellow, FMASc) is a Professor and Head at Food Engineering and Technology Department, Institute of Chemical Technology (ICT), Mumbai. He is having about 17 years’ rich Teaching and Research experience. Was elected as a Vice-President of Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (India), Mysore. [AFST(I)] for 3 times

He is a recipient of ICT- AFST(I) Best Teacher Award in 2014 and 2016 and Fellow of Maharashtra Academy of Science (FMAS) – 2018

He was awarded BOYSCAST Fellowship from Department of Science and Technolo-gy, Government of India to visit Washington State University, Pullman, WA and Uni-versity of California, Davis, CA during 2010-2011

He is a recognized member of scientific committees for Food Safety and Standards Au-thority, India (FSSAI), Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Maharashtra State and of Academic Committees and Research Committees in various Universities

Prof. Prathap Kumar Shetty HHead, Department of Food Science and technology

Dr. Prathap Kumar Shetty Halady is currently working as Professor at the Department of Food Science and Technology at Pondichery University, India. Dr. Shetty obtained his PhD from National Institute of Nutrition, Hyderabad, India in 1997. Dr. Shetty did two years Post Doctoral studies at the University of Texas Health Centre at Tyler from 2000 to 2002. He completed one- year PG Diploma in Pedagogy at the National Pedagogic University Aarhus Denmark in 2008

He is actively involved in Food Safety and related activities in government as member of various government committees. Dr. Shetty has been awarded prestigious Fellow of Royal Society of Chemistry, London in the year 2018. Dr. Shetty was the immediate past President of prestigious Association of Food Scientists and Technologists (India). He knows 9 languages and has travelled 21 countries.

Dr. C. AnandharamakrishnanDirector, Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology (IIFPT),Thanjavur

Dr. C. Anandharamakrishnan has 19 years of experience in R&D and administration at the CSIR - Central Food Technological Research Institute (CFTRI), a prestigious food research institution in the country. He was Principal Scientist and Coordinator for the Academy of Scientific & Innovative Research (AcSIR) at CSIR-CFTRI, before being appointed as the Director of Indian Institute of Food Processing Technology (IIFPT), Thanjavur

Dr. Anandharamakrishnan completed his Doctoral degree in Chemical Engineering from Loughborough University, United Kingdom, under the Commonwealth pro-gramme. He pursued his B.Tech. (Chemical Engineering) and M.Tech. from A.C. Col-lege of Technology, Anna University, Chennai. He is also the author of 6 books and 42 book chapters published by coveted publishers. He has supervised 8 Ph.D. theses and more than 50 bachelor’s and master’s theses

Dr. Anandharamakrishnan is the elected Fellow of the Royal Society of Chemistry (FRSC), Fellow of Royal Society of Biology (FRSB), Fellow of National Academy of Ag-ricultural Sciences (NAAS), Fellow of Association of Food Scientists and Technolo-gists (India) –AFST(I), and the Institute of Engineers (FIE). He serves/served as the Edi-tor of Journal of Food Science and Technology (Springer).

Holding master's in Physics from Allahabad University, Shri Gaur has been a member of the IAS. After retirement he served as Administrative Member in the Central Adminis-trative Tribunal, Principal Bench, New Delhi.

Earlier he held the post of the Chief Executive Officer of the Food Safety and Stand-ards Authority of India (FSSAI) during the crucial formative years from Feb 2009 to Feb 2012 and officiated as Chairman, FSSAI from Sep 2011 to Jan 2012.. He laid the foun-dation of making food safety a collaborative mission of all the stakeholders through a transparent participative process. He also prepared the blueprint of the food sector reg-ulation and the plan of action for the next 10 years that included, inter alia, compre-hensive updation of standards, and upgradation and expansion of food testing capa-bilities in the country. As CEO, FSSAI he led Indian delegations to several meetings and conferences of the Codex Alimentarius Commission and its Committees.

Dr Bhandarkar was a former assistant director (Yoga) at Central Council for Research in Yoga & Naturopathy (CCRYN) Delhi, Ministry of AYUSH.

Hs academic qualifications include BAMS, Doctor of Naturopathy, MA in philosophy and completion of various yoga courses. He is a recognized trainer in AYUSH. He was a member of FOOD Additive Sub Committee for a period of 3 years from 2000-2003. Holds 5 Patents on development of specific processes for refining of vegetable oils, lecithin manufacture from Rice bran and Table margarine production, specialty Oils & fats; responsible for development of Table margarine & Fat spread first time in the country, pioneer in refined Rice bran oil processing.He served as Ex-President – Mumbai Chapter, Association of Food Scientists & Tech-nologists India ( AFSTI) .He was appointed as a Member of India Codex Shadow Committee on Oils & Fats, New Delhi.
